About This Project
CamAccess Technology was engaged by a retail shop in Kanamai, Mtwapa, dealing in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), to install a complete CCTV surveillance system. The client wanted reliable coverage of the shop floor, entry points, and till area, along with the ability to check in on the store remotely from a phone. We began with a free on-site survey to assess the layout and recommend the best camera placement and system for the business, then carried out the full installation start to finish.
- 5 HD 2MP cameras covering all key areas of the shop
- Remote viewing set up on the owner's phone for access from anywhere
- A dedicated monitor installed in-store for real-time shop viewing
What We Installed
We fitted 5 HD 2MP CCTV cameras strategically positioned to cover the shop's critical areas, connected to a central recorder. A monitor was set up on-site so staff can view live footage directly in the shop, and we configured the client's personal phone with remote access so the owner can check in on the business from anywhere, anytime. The entire installation was completed smoothly in approximately 3 hours.
- 5x HD 2MP cameras with full shop coverage
- In-store monitor for real-time viewing
- Remote mobile access configured on the owner's phone
Challenge & Solution
The installation itself went smoothly with no major issues. The one hold-up was waiting on the client's ISP technician to arrive on-site, since internet connectivity was needed to configure remote viewing on the owner's phone. The ISP team arrived within 30 minutes, after which we completed the remote access setup without further delay.
